For BILION the confidentiality and integrity of the personal data of its associates, partners, customers or suppliers is one of our main concerns. The management and use of this data is clearly compliant with the European Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, dated 27 April 2016, on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free circulation of personal data. In this context, this Personal Data Protection Policy establishes the way in which BILION uses your personal data.
  1. 1. PURPOSE OF PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED BY BILION – UNIP. LDA
    1. Without prejudice to the previous point, the holder of personal data has the right to request to BILION, the access, rectification or deletion of such data, as well as the limitation and/or portability to other entities. In such cases where there is a data retention period imposed by law, BILION reserves the right not to execute the request, clarifying the holder of the personal data of the respective grounds to the interested holder. The holder of the personal data may submit a complaint or an exposition to the National Data Protection Commission (CNPD), as the Control Authority in Portugal.
  2. 2. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION MEASURES
    1. Despite the possible risk that data may circulate without security, BILION has internally established a process of continuous and updated registration of the personal data processing activities that it carries out, in order to avoid loss, misuse, modification, unauthorized access or improper appropriation of the personal data provided by the holders, aknowledging the fallibility of Internet security measures.
    2. Implemented data protection measures:
      • restricted access to your personal data and according to the needs arising from your activity
      • authentication tools
      • data encryption and the security of the applications that process them
      • storage on protected servers, being accessed and used exclusively under our security policies and standards.
    3. Personal data is only kept for as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or at the request of the respective holder, after that period of time the data will be anonymized or destroyed.
    4. In such cases where there is a data retention period imposed by law, the right to it delition or disposal shall only be exercised after the end of that period.
  3. 3. RIGHTS OF THE PERSONAL DATA HOLDER
    1.   4. 4. TRANSMISSION OF PERSONAL DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
    1. BILION in the course of its activity, and after prior consent of the holders of personal data in compliance with the requirements stated in the Data Protection Regulation, may transmit them to third parties, as defined in number 10 of article 4 of the GDPR, in compliance with legal, regulatory, pre-contractual or contractual duties, namely to authorities of a public nature responsible for control and audit duties and / or to partners in activities, projects or services.
    2. Similarly, BILION may, in the course of its activity, subcontract other entities to process personal data on its own account, after prior consent of the holders of personal data in compliance with the requirements set out in the Data Protection Regulation
  5. 5. DATA COLLECTED THROUGH OTHER TECHNICAL MEANS
    1. BILION might also collect anonymous information through its website, namely information on the type of browser, operating systems, location, IP, date and time of access to the website, using technologies to control that information, for example: through google analytics. Any personal data related to the use of its website that might lead to personal and/or individual identification is not stored.
  6. 6. RESPONSABILITY FOR THE USE AND PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
    1. BILION is responsible for the collection, processing, conservation, anonymization and/or deletion of personal data of its partners, customers or suppliers.
    2. Any issue regarding the use of personal data, must be submitted to the email address info@bilion.pt, or by postal mail addressed to BILION to the address as indicated on the folder “contacts” of its website.
    3. According to the terms and deadlines provided for in article 33 of the GDPR, BILION has a mandatory obligation to notify CNPD should it become aware of any personal data breach event, as defined in number 12 of article 4 of the GDPR.
  7. 7. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS
    1. The present document is made acessible to public trough BILION’s website.
    2. BILION is entitled, without prior notice, to introduce change to this Policy, as required by possible legal updates or CNPD recommendations.
